WELCOME TO KENYATTA UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW (KUSOL)
Kenyatta University School of Law (KUSOL) was established in 2008 and is located in the Parklands Campus of Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya. KUSOL delivers innovative legal education which is student-focused and research-led. KUSOL embraces an integrated philosophy of teaching, research and community service. KUSOL’s undergraduate programme is a pioneer in experiential legal education in which students undertake clinical work and placement as a central component of the law degree. KUSOL also runs the Kenyatta University Legal Aid Clinic and the Kenyatta University TradeLab. The Legal Aid Clinic offers pro- bono legal aid services to ordinary citizens and provides students with clinical experience in case preparation, client interviewing, research and writing skills and networking. The TradeLab Clinic affords students an opportunity to offer research and advisory services on international investment to governments and communities.
KUSOL has since 2012 produced over 1,000 lawyers from its undergraduate programme who are currently engaged as bar practitioners, judicial officers, corporate lawyers, in-house counsel and as post-graduate students in renown law schools globally. KUSOL students have also excelled in global and regional moot court competitions such as the Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition, John Jackson World Trade Organization Moot Court Competition, the African Human Rights Moot Court Competition and the East African Community Moot Court Competition.
