Technical and economic properties of transport networks, vehicle supply, patterns of transport flow and explanation of flow systems, the inter-modal allocation of flow. Decision making and government policy in transport

Methods and Techniques of Transport Geography

 

Course content (including topics)

Topological approaches to network form, networks graphs, network density and shapes, location of routes and networks, application of the low of refraction to transport routes, transaction flow analysis, application of linear programming to the transport problem.
