Area of specialization
Hydro-geomorphologist with working knowledge in integrated watershed management (IWM) and climate vulnerability capacity analysis (CVCA) through geospatial methodologies for community based planning and management of social/economic and environmental resources. Biased towards the dynamics of current and palaeo sedimentation in Eastern Africa Rift valley Lake basins.

Research Interests:
Research in Participatory community integrated GIS (PGIS) under variable themes; that include, watershed hydro-geomorphologic processes, community’s resilience, adaptation and adjustments under variable climatic conditions; Research projects centred on Geospatial techniques in mapping social/economic attributes in watersheds, including lake-level fluctuations in Eastern Africa Rift valley drainage basins
