  • Researcher  in  research  (2004  –  2009):  “Utilization  and  Prioritization  for Domestication of Wild Mushrooms of the Lake Victoria Basin Wetlands for Food and Medicinal Applications”. This is a Regional project in which researchers are drawn from the three countries of East Africa. The research is funded by SIDA/SAREC through the Inter University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) other team members are Prof. Olila (team Leader – Makerere University) Prof. Kabasa (Makerere University) and Prof. Munishi (Sokoine University). I am the Kenyan team member leading a group of Research Assistants researching on the wild Mushrooms of Siaya and Busia wetlands (Total Grant in Kenya Shillings:1.7 Million).
