TOPIC:
“Impact of Intellectual Property Rights in Post WTO Era”, India and Canada from 22nd -24th March, 2007 and presented a paper titled, The Impact on Intellectual Property rights.
- 2009: Seminar for Kenya National Bureau of Statistics Population and Housing Census conducted in Bungoma and Kitale.
EMPLOYMENT AND WORKING EXPERIENCE:
2007-2008: Lecturing
- Lectured undergraduates during my final year of masters. Lectured the third and fourth year students in areas of Company law, mercantile Law, Criminology and penology, Criminology and criminal justice, Juvenile Delinquency and Law and Society.
2008-2009: Omundi Bw’onchiri and Company Advocates
Worked with Omundi Bw’onchiri Advocates as a legal assistant in both civil and criminal Departments.
Drafting the legal documents and filling them in the respective court registries, drafting legal contractual documents between the firm and the external parties,
2009: Senior Supervisor- Kenya National Bureau of Statistics Population and Housing Census.
Training the Supervisors and the enumerators on how to conduct housing Census and come up with the required results.
2010-2011: Kittony Maina Karanja Advocates
Worked with Kittony Maina Karanja Advocates as a legal assistant in both Conveyance, Commercial, and Litigation Departments.
Drafting the legal documents and filling them in the respective court registries, drafting legal contractual documents between the firm and the external parties, Drawing of the Memorandum and Articles of Association for Companies and obtaining the Certificates of registration.
2011-2012: Royal Group of Companies
Worked with the Royal Group of Companies (Real Estate Company) as a legal advisor. Advising the respective heads of the company on the emerging legal issues in the company, analyzing contracts and other legal documents for the Company, Drawing of the Memorandum and Articles of Association for Companies and drafting legal contractual documents between the Company and the external parties,
2012-2017: Kagwe Kamau and Karanja Advocates
Senior Associate Advocate with the Firm of Kagwe Kamau and Karanja Advocates in Litigation and Conveyancing Department.
Drafting legal contractual documents between the instructing clients on behalf of the firm, drawing of the Memorandum and Articles of Association for Companies and obtaining certificates of Registration for the same, analyzing legal documents on behalf of the firm, advising clients on land matters as well as advising instructing clients on their legal matters, ensuring that the registration of the title documents is done at relevant lands registry, etc.
